What is OTRx?

Is OTRx completely free?

OTRx offers a generous free tier with all essential features. Premium plans are available for advanced features, but core messaging and calling remain completely free forever.

How does OTRx compare to other messaging apps?

OTRx combines military-grade encryption with innovative privacy features like Dual-360 Guard, TTL messages, and on-device AI. We never access your data, never show ads, and are transparent about our practices.

Can I use OTRx for business?

Absolutely! Many organizations use OTRx for secure team communication. We offer business plans with team management, advanced security features, and dedicated support.

Privacy & Security

How secure is OTRx?

OTRx uses industry-standard Double Ratchet and X3DH protocols for end-to-end encryption. All messages are encrypted on your device before being transmitted and can only be decrypted by the intended recipient.

Do you store my messages on your servers?

No. Messages are stored only on your device and the recipient's device. We don't maintain cloud backups, and our servers never have access to message content.

What data do you collect?

We collect minimal data: only what's necessary to deliver the service (like device identifiers and push tokens). We never collect message content, contacts, or behavioral data. All non-essential data is anonymized.

Is OTRx end-to-end encrypted?

Yes, all communications and text are end-to-end encrypted. Only you and the recipient can read or access your conversations.

Can OTRx be hacked?

While no system is 100% immune, OTRx uses cutting-edge security architecture. We conduct regular security audits, have a responsible disclosure program, and employ industry best practices to protect your data.

Features

What devices does OTRx support?

OTRx is available on iOS and Android. All versions sync seamlessly while maintaining encryption on each device.

Can I make voice and video calls?

Currently, OTRx focuses on secure, encrypted text messaging. Voice and video calls are not yet supported, but we are exploring these features for future releases.

What is TTL and how does it work?

TTL (Time-to-Live) is a feature that automatically deletes messages after a specified duration (such as 5 seconds, 1 minute, or 1 hour). Once the timer expires, messages are permanently erased from all devices and cannot be recovered.

Can I create groups?

Currently, OTRx supports one-to-one peer-to-peer messaging. Group chat functionality is not yet available, but it's on our roadmap for future updates.

Does OTRx support file sharing?

At this time, OTRx supports encrypted text messaging only. File sharing capabilities are planned for future versions of the app.

Account & Support

How do I create an account?

Download OTRx from your app store, enter a valid licensing key to unlock the app, then tap 'Sign Up'. Enter your phone number and verify it with the OTP sent to your phone. You can enable biometric authentication (Face ID) during sign-up or later in your settings.

What do I do if I forget my password?

OTRx uses OTP (One-Time Password) for login verification instead of passwords. When logging in, enter your phone number and you'll receive an OTP via SMS. Use that OTP to access your account. If you're having trouble receiving OTP, check your phone number is correct and ensure SMS is enabled on your device.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Delete My Account. Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
